Self-Publishing Solutions – Our Creative Niche
First-time authors can benefit from specialist aspects of our Creative Consultancy. Our Self-Publishing Solutions, which are still in development, will be valuable assets for authors looking to self-publish. Many of these packages will be designed to enable oneself to complete parts of the process to a high standard. However, there will also be options for individual support and more traditional services for authors.
If you are an author, and especially a first-time author, we welcome you to try a consultancy session.
ProProsel was built around you… You are quite literally our dream customer because our creativity excels the most in the field of storytelling and anything else book related.
This page is under development.
As part of our Creative Consultancy, we will be offering unique packages that will offer an incredible amount of value to authors who are self-publishing. We know how tricky it can be, and that’s what we want to change.
Our packages will be tiered, meaning you can access support regardless of your budget. If you have less to spend, then we will offer you solutions that will enable you to perform the task with more ease and efficiency. A higher budget will mean more active and individual support. However, we promise that all of our packages will be packed full of unbeatable value, and we are indeed talking about layers and layers of value which will save you time, money, and effort.
Our packages will set out to solve the following problems (and more):
- Editing Manuscript
- Editorial / Author Feedback
- Reader Feedback
- Ensuring Perception of Professionalism for Readers – (eg. Using a ProProsel ISBN)
- Formatting Manuscript
- Cover Design
- Unique Marketing Solutions – (eg. Membership on ProProsel as part of package)
- Creative Blocks / Need for Assistance – (Creative Consultancy)
This is in active development, so stay tuned for updates on these packages. If you would like to learn more, then please feel free to write in.
ProProsel Editing System (In Development)
Our Editing System will be the first Self-Publishing Solution.
Its core focus is to enable you to be able to edit your own novels to a high standard and as efficiently as possible. For first-time authors, especially, editing can feel like a horrible barrier to achieving a finished product. Professional editing is costly and not without good reason… There is a lot of work involved!
The middle way – so to speak – is to learn how to do it yourself.
On the one hand, just jumping into the editing process can be extremely overwhelming, and it will result in uncorrected errors and therefore multiple re-edits. All the time that you poured into ‘editing’ is quickly lost when you realise the litany of errors left behind, often in the form of small but incredibly noticeable inconsistencies and mistakes.
Then on the other end of the scale, professional editing will likely put you £2000+ out of pocket (depending on the size of your book). This is all very well and good when you have a proven ability to sell your books, but it can easily be seen as a risky investment for your first self-published novel. If you are self-publishing, then I would highly recommend that you save yourself the money; get your book as polished as you can; and then work-out your selling muscles first.
Our Editing System will tackle both issues by providing you with a logical, informative, and experience-driven guide on how to edit your own work. Our guide will will help you to achieve a polished manuscript at the expense of far less time and effort on your part – all whilst saving you in excess of £1900.
The Editing System will be the product of my own experience, editing my three novels (to varying degrees of success). By the third time around, my editing style had really solidified; I was using less effort to achieve even better results. As this is based on my experience, the system will also include some anecdotal information on the reality behind editing your own work… and how to make it a bit more of an enjoyable process. I will also be using my books for reference on how to make your own style guide, etc. So, nothing will be left to the imagination.
I am currently undergoing a course to become a certified copy-editor, and whilst I cannot share course content for obvious reasons, I plan on applying the knowledge to ensure that the Editing System meets methods of best-practice for both novel editing and editing your own work.
